our Haunted Studio.
This past Halloween, for the 6th year in a row, MATV, Malden’s Media Center held another successful “Haunted Studio”. Over 300 kids of all ages (and some adults) entered the spooky studio that was put together by kids from the MATV Kids Video Adventure Program, as well as youngsters from the SALSA Video Club led by Susan Cao.
The studio was broken into sections with a cemetery, a castle, a witch’s house, a funeral room with a casket and a laboratory with Frankenstein’s monster tied to a table. The young performers took turns being witches, ghouls, and monsters as well as operating spiders, ghosts and monster hands. They did a great job of scaring the visitors who took a chance entering the haunted studio.
The event is part of the Malden Chamber of Commerce’s annual Trick or Treat Day that gives kids a chance to show off their costumes and receive some free candy. It has grown each year and MATV has become the highlight of this annual Halloween happening. Check out the slide show coming soon.
