If you are a member of the Malden community, we invite you to take part in a very special project entitled "We Have A Dream." During the week of April 28th, we are re-creating Martin Luther King's historical "I Have A Dream" speech. Participants will recite a line or phrase (assigned to them) from the speech. The results will be edited together so that the entire speech is performed by at least 150 members (possibly more) of Malden's diverse community. The edited project will premiere on MATV on Martin Luther King Day, 2009, and will be replayed throughout Black History month in February of '09. The idea is to recall this historical and inspirational speech and to visually represent the dream with faces from the Malden community. To take part in this project, you just need to call or email us and reserve a 10-minute time slot sometime during the following hours: Monday, April 28, 10am- 6pm; Tuesday, April 29, 10am - 9pm; Wednesday, April 30, 10am - 6pm; Thursday, May 1, 10am - 6pm; or Friday, May 2, 10am - 6pm. Volunteer Needed To Deliver Program Schedules
MATV needs a volunteer to deliver Program Schedules to local offices and organizations. The Program Schedules are delivered once a month and should take no longer than an hour to deliver, even by foot.

"Street Team" needed for MATV Fundraiser
We are looking for folks who can post flyers and posters at businesses in the Malden/Everett area. We need to get the word out about our "MATV Fight Night' fundraiser. We'd like to have all the flyers up by April 7th. Best if you have a car for this job, but we can supply rides if you work in a team. You just need to ask permission from the business owner before posting the flyer in the window. MATV Board member Barry Greenspan and staffer Anna Pacheco are spearheading the "Street Team" effort. Volunteer: Front Desk Help
Individuals needed for front desk coverage. MATV is looking for volunteers to answer phones and greet people in the front lobby. A friendly smile and a dynamite personality is a plus! Hours needed are: Tuesday evenings, 6pm-9pm; Thursdays, 10am - 2pm, and 2pm - 5pm; and Saturday 10a-12pm or 10am-2pm. Help Archive MATV Newsclippings - Flexible Hours
Looking for someone to help maintain our press archives - Need someone with good organizational skills to clip and xerox press articles about MATV and organize them in a binder. We have a whole archive of these binders, but are currently several months behind in maintaining our press clippings. You can work at your own pace and schedule. However, to start out, we need someone who can come in during daytime hours for the training. Will train and be overseen by our receptionist, Dianne O'Brien, who is currently in charge of this project. Help MATV record its history! Looking for some new members to join the MATV Gallery Committee. The MATV Gallery Committee helps the Gallery Exhibition Coordinator (Anne D'Urso-Rose) oversee the MATV Gallery. Members can help with selecting exhibits, promotion, and/or working with exhibitors to make their exhibits successful. Could use someone with skills in promotion and design, outreach, and/or good interpersonal skills. You can determine how much time you give to the committee.
