Malden’s Outdoor Treasures: Old & New
Video Screening & Discussion
Join your friends and neighbors at MATV for a special screening of two videos: one on the history of Fellsmere Park and the other on the new Community Garden along the Northern Strand Bike Trail in Malden. Local resident and historian Inna Babitskaya will be on hand with her book “Fellsmere Park: Emerald of Malden.” The video follows a guided tour of the park led by Babitskaya and includes archival photos that illustrate the park’s history. Barbara Murphy, Ward 5 City Councilor, will be on hand to answer
questions about Malden’s new Community Garden, located in Ward 5. The Community Garden video provides a visual tour of the resource and the story
of how it came to be. The screening will be followed by a discussion on how we can promote, protect, and add to our outdoor treasures in Malden. Light refreshments will be served. Hope you can come .. and bring a friend!
