The MATV Gallery is proud to present Building Bridges Through Art, a multicultural exhibition that celebrates Malden’s diversity. We have engaged seventeen local artists from a variety of cultural backgrounds who have come together to share their explorations and expressions of the challenges and benefits of living in a multicultural community. The result is that nearly fifty pieces of art create an amazingly colorful and energetic display while demonstrating that individual expression is an integral part of a united whole.
Building Bridges Through Art, conceived with thoughts provoked by this year’s Malden Reads: One City, One Book program will be on display at the MATV Gallery through August 24, 2012. Gallery hours are Monday – Thursday, 10am-9pm; Friday, 10am-6pm and Saturday, 10am-2pm. Closed Sunday.
All are welcome to join the Artists Reception on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 5:30-7pm at the MATV Gallery where refreshments will be served.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Malden Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
