Education Access works directly with the Malden Schools to generate local programming that educates citizens about Malden School programs, events, goals and issues, as well as provides educational opportunities for students in the area of communications.

Education Access goals:

  • To create and/or facilitate educational programs about the Malden schools in collaboration with staff, officials, and students.
  • Provide imported programming on the channel from educational agencies to benefit local students, staff, parents and the greater community.
  • Be a media/video center for students, staff and parent training, enrichment and after school programs, media literacy and vocational training.

Educational Access does not include any programs produced by individuals other than MATV, school staff, students, and government approved and accredited education agencies.

Examples of Channel 15 Educational Access Programs are:

  • School concerts and performances
  • Local sports events
  • Youth-produced programming
  • Ask The Superintendent – informative talk show
  • Programs produced by NASA and the U.S Department of Education
  • Timely education-related notices on the Electronic Bulletin Board
